MAÑANA, THE TANGO : compilation.
Between Argentina and Uruguay, the Río de la Plata deposits its alluvium in the ocean of the world. This river’s flow sounds wild and beautiful, and Mañana sound will be heard as wild and beautiful. Tango is a powerful music, fiery emotion, sensual dance, a movement that explores body and soul.
First cousin to jazz through its Afro-American roots, it is backed by a century of rich, ongoing exploration, though the best is yet to come, with tango artists enthusiastically set to develop its potential.
It is sung and danced by an ever growing number of people around the world. Riding this powerful tidal wave are the artists that make up Mañana: Melingo, Beytelmann, Cáceres, Molina, Di Giusto, Mosalini, Müller & Makaroff.
The Mañana record label – created and directed by Eduardo Makaroff of Gotan Project – has a mission: to popularize the very best by musicians who drive tango, milonga, candombe and Argentinian folklore music further upstream in its course to conquer the world.
Time is a silver river that flows onwards to Mañana.
